Wigmore Hall website hosts recordings of Andras Schiff’s compelling Beethoven lectures

As a prelude to András Schiff’s Wigmore Hall Beethoven Sonata Series, we have added his unique lecture-recitals on all of Beethoven’s piano sonatas to our website for free listening and download. The lectures, recorded between 2004 and 2006, provide a riveting mixture of erudition, analysis, wit and memory. Deeply engaging and intriguing, these thought-provoking lecture-recitals are now available free, on the Hall’s website.

András Schiff’s Beethoven Sonata Series begins this autumn with three concerts in November (Monday 19 November, Friday 23 November and Monday 26 November) and continues in March 2013 (Monday 4 March, Friday 8 March, Monday 11 March and Friday 15 March).
