Mark Padmore Impressions
As part of Mark Padmore's year long residency at Wigmore Hall he will be working with the Learning department:
Schools’ Project, Spring 2010
Working alongside composer John Barber and singer Isabelle Adams, this project for KS2 and KS3 students in six London schools aims raise enthusiasm and confidence for singing.
Exploring the theme of Shakespeare text and the breadth of contrasting song settings, students will write new songs which they will perform alongside Mark Padmore at Wigmore Hall on Thursday 8 July. The project will include an INSET session for teachers looking at how to lead effective singing sessions in the classroom and song-writing skills.
Masterclass Tuesday 16 March
Mark Padmore will lead a masterclass for selected vocal studies students. Also open for public booking, this promises to be an insight into the challenges of song recital repertoire.
Family Concert Saturday 29 May
Families have the chance to explore song with Mark Padmore and friends, joining in interactive activities and hearing a world class performer.
