The Competitors

The Invitation Jury for the 2012 Competition met over the weekend of October 15th and 16th 2011 and selected 12 quartets to participate in the Competition.

Each applicant quartet had to submit a DVD recording of any Haydn quartet and Webern’s
Six Bagatelles.

The Jury members listened ‘blind’ to all the recordings, so did not know the identity of the quartets until the selection process was complete.

The selected quartets are:
