In the Community
Wigmore Hall Learning runs an extensive community programme which takes us everywhere from hospitals to community centres and nurseries to residential homes. These programmes aim to extend access to the Hall, inspiring people to take part in chamber music and song, as well as using music to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Our community programme includes Music for Life, a project working with people living with dementia; Chamber Tots in the Community, our flagship early-years programme; and All Sing!, our community choir based in the Harrow Road area. We also have our own ensemble of professional musicians called Ignite. Using improvisation in music, Ignite lead outreach projects in a range of settings including hospitals and community centres.
