Wigmore Hall Learning provides a range of downloadable resources to support the broad range of projects with the programme, as well as interactive online resources to aid learning in the classroom and beyond.
Play Up is a series of online resources for teachers to use in the classroom, with many activities that can also be tried out at home. Each resource is a stand-alone website which includes video, audio and activities. Subjects covered to date include Percussion and Jazz.
The Sound House is an exciting interactive resource which enables audiences to explore Wigmore Hall from a totally new perspective. The result of a 6-month project led by Duncan Chapman with Rus Pearson and students from Pimlico Academy; this site aims to capture the essence of the concert hall and the spaces and sounds of the building. Navigate through each room to listen to ambient sounds and compositions.
The Art of Song is an exciting new resource, inspired by the Wigmore Hall / Kohn Foundation Song Competition, which comprises a series of short films in which some of the world's greatest singers and experts talk about the magic of song. Whether you're a singer considering taking part in a competition; an audience member, eager to find out how competition jurors come to their decisions; or anyone looking to find out more about song and performance, this site contains a fascinating range of insights, opinions and ideas from those who've worked, performed, and succeeded in song at the highest level.
Teachers’ Packs are downloadable resources that have been specifically designed to support Wigmore Hall Learning School Projects. Covering a range of subjects across Key Stage 1-4, these packs provide a range of repertoire and curriculum-focussed activities for teachers to use in the classroom.
Family Activity Packs: Ideas on fun music making activities that families can do at home before attending a Wigmore Hall family or open audience event.
