Biography
Nicholas Mulroy was born in Liverpool, read languages at Cambridge University, and studied with Philip Doghan at the RAM.
Recent concert and opera engagements include performances at the Glyndebourne Festival, Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, BBC Proms and Halle Handel Festival, with conductors including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Vladimir Jurowski, Trevor Pinnock, Christian Zacharias and Emmanuelle Haïm.
In recital, he has performed Janácek’s The Diary of One Who Disappeared with the Prince Consort and, with regular collaborator John Reid, a wide repertoire including Die schöne Müllerin, Schumann’s Liederkreis Op. 24 and Op. 39, Tippett’s The Heart’s Assurance and Fauré’s La bonne chanson.
