About this concert

In the revolutionary year of 1789 Mozart created one of his most lyrical and reflective compositions. The Clarinet Quintet in A major was matched in tonal beauty and melodic tenderness by Brahms in his Clarinet Quintet of 1890, works written with the particular talents of two outstanding clarinettists squarely in mind.
