Turbulence, serenity, darkness and wit – Mozart’s eighteen keyboard sonatas make a collective study in contrasts, and for several years now Christian Blackshaw has passionately championed the virtues of performing them together as a cycle. This selection groups three early, Salzburg-sketched examples with the aching beauty of the more mature K333.
