About this concert
The charismatic Swedish duo of clarinettist Martin Fröst and pianist Roland Pöntinen are welcome all over the world for their imaginatively planned and ground-breaking programmes.
This recital includes just two staples of the clarinet repertoire – Lutoslawski’s attractive Dance Preludes and Debussy’s Première rapsodie.
For the rest, Fröst and Pöntinen have arranged and concocted a beguiling and tempting mix of showpieces, based around the theme of dance, which are sure to sound newly minted in their persuasive hands.
