About this concert

Renowned for his interpretations of the masterpieces of the central European repertoire, Viennese pianist Till Fellner opens his lunchtime recital with one of the sonatas Haydn composed during his second visit to London, and continues with works by two of the 19th-century’s greatest piano composers. Schumann’s reminiscences of childhood will set the scene for the vividness and sense of wonder of Liszt’s portraits of his ‘pilgrimage’ to Italy.
