Janine Jansen Residency

Janine Jansen has rapidly become one of the most compelling presences on the international violin scene, renowned for her penetrating interpretations, both in concert and on disc, of music ranging from the Baroque right up to the present day. Alongside her career as a much-in-demand concerto soloist, she ranks chamber music as one of her first loves, working with a stellar array of the finest musicians of our time and curating her own annual chamber festival in Utrecht. She embarks on a three-concert residency here at Wigmore Hall, opening with a duo programme for which she is joined by pianist Itamar Golan. Successive concerts will feature Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale (also to be performed in a family concert) and Schoenberg's Verklärte Nacht coupled with Schubert's evergreen Quintet.
