Emmet Cohen Trio

Lauded by All About Jazz as ‘one of the finest piano players to emerge in decades’, American pianist and composer Emmet Cohen expanded his international reach during the pandemic by streaming joyous weekly gigs from his New York apartment. The American pianist and composer, born in Miami in 1990, marries his deep understanding of jazz and its history with long experience of classical music, occasionally slipping quotes from the latter into the strikingly inventive stream of his improvisations.

Cohen’s Wigmore Hall debut with the Emmet Cohen Trio in 2024 resulted in a review by UK Jazz News simply headed ‘Wow. And double “wow”,’ while the Trio’s performance in 2025 was filled with ‘spirited playing and obvious joy’ (London Unattached).
