Dance held a lifelong fascination for Debussy, reflected in everything from ‘Serenade for the Doll’ to the flamboyant ‘Tarentelle styrienne’.

This programme sets the composer’s keyboard dances in context, offering fresh perspectives on the waltz as a concert piece and linking Debussy to Chopin, Chabrier and Satie.
