The Endellion String Quartet

Haydn, Bartók, Beethoven and Adès

Archived

  • The Endellion String Quartet

Now into its 39th season, The Endellion String Quartet opens this programme with a Haydn quartet bubbling with good natured warmth and vitality.

Bartók’s final and very expressive quartet is in turns wild, lyrical, sardonic and ultimately deeply tragic, whilst Beethoven’s Op. 127 is one of the most melodious and uplifting of all his works.
