This concert will be approximately 90 minutes in duration, without an interval.
Cuban-born pianist and composer Harold López-Nussa makes his Wigmore Hall debut, following the international success of his first Blue Note album Timba a la Americana. This album, produced by Snarky Puppy bandleader Michael League, explores music inspired by López-Nussa’s recent decision to leave his Cuban homeland and begin a new life in France. The result is a lavishly colourful modernisation of Latin jazz, with joy and pathos in equal measure.
