Overview
Turning 50 last year, the German composer, clarinettist and conductor has produced a body of work now widely performed. His clarinet Fantasy – with its klezmer and jazz elements – dates from 1993, Tears of the Muses for clarinet, violin and piano from 1993-6, and Summer Sonata for violin and piano from 2010.
