Overview

Swedish pianist Peter Jablonski is also half Polish, and the Polish connections in this programme are strong: Scottish piano virtuoso Ronald Stevenson’s suite on Paderewski’s sole opera (Jablonski’s recording of selected piano works by Stevenson is released on Ondine on 4 October 2024), a selection of works by Szymanowski, and the intricate Second Sonata (1953) of Grażyna Bacewicz, whose works for piano and piano and orchestra he recently recorded to great critical acclaim.
