    Overview

Alison Balsom’s partnership with Trevor Pinnock and The English Concert began in the recording studio and blossomed with their acclaimed performances together in Samuel Adamson’s Gabriel at the Globe Theatre in 2013.

They return to the music of Purcell and Handel in this late-night concert, which opens with the haunting aria ‘Eternal source of light divine’ and digs deep into the instrumental music of Purcell’s spectacular works for the London stage.
