Overview
One of the two composers complementing JS Bach in the programme is his illustrious son, Carl Philipp Emanuel (1714-88), while the other is Georg Benda (1722-95) – a member of an almost equally notable dynasty of Bohemian musicians whose 6 Sonatas were first published in 1757.
