Overview

The first of two portrait concerts highlighting the achievements of London-born (in 1974) Joseph Phibbs, whose works have received international attention and are performed by many prominent musicians. An elegy for one of his teachers who died in 2016 finds a place alongside the 2021 Cello Sonata and the quartet written for today’s ensemble.

This concert is part of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust ticket scheme, offering free tickets to those aged 8-25
