    Works written for Christmas form this programme given by Baroque specialists: BWV132 was first performed in Weimar on 22 December 1715, BWV151 in Leipzig on 22 December 1725, and BWV191 also in Leipzig on Christmas Day, 1742, while in tonight’s D major form, the Magnificat dates from 1733.
