Young prizewinners in several recent competitions, the ensemble founded in 2013 at the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi of Turin takes its name from the artist, whose ties to music and keen sense of colour remain inspirations. Today the group is coached by a violinist who is also professor of string chamber music and vice-director of the Joseph Haydn Institute for Chamber Music at Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts.
