Overview
Always welcome visitors to Wigmore Hall, the Takács joins with one of today’s finest pianists for a programme that includes an important piece by the recently rediscovered Florence Price, whose quintet – thought to date from 1936 – celebrates the composer’s African-American heritage in its use of spirituals, hymns and the characteristic Juba dance.
