Overview

The group’s repertoire ranges more widely than their name might suggest. Here they bring together two of Bach’s cantatas – first performed a week apart in Leipzig in autumn 1724 – and the only securely ascribed work by the French flautist and composer Pierre-Gabriel Buffardin (c.1690-1768), who taught Johann Sebastian’s elder brother, Johann Jacob.
