Overview
The exceptional German viola player once again collaborates with the leading quartet, this time for two of Mozart’s renowned works for the string quintet medium. K406/516b dates from 1787 and is in fact the composer’s transcription of his Serenade for winds in C minor, dating from four or five years earlier; its substantial successor dates from April of the same year.
