Music’s Odyssey: An Invitation to Western Classical Music' by Robin Holloway

Petroc Trelawny

Overview

Join acclaimed composer Robin Holloway in conversation with celebrated broadcaster Petroc Trelawny about his new book, Music’s Odyssey. As he writes, ‘my aim in this book is to offer an invitation to the glorious long voyage of Western classical music for all those who enjoy and love it, and seek to deepen their enjoyment and love. It is an account of how music is made, but also an attempt to chart what is being said, and how music works upon its listeners.’ Experience an illuminating Q&A, featuring musical excerpts and a captivating journey through the world of Western classical music

Robin Holloway is a composer, teacher, writer and Emeritus Professor of Music at the University of Cambridge.

Petroc Trelawny is a radio and television broadcaster, notably a long-time presenter on BBC Radio 3 and a regular host of major classical music events including the BBC Proms.
