Mendelssohn’s yearning Capriccio provides the launchpad for the Belcea Quartet’s enthralling, emotionally intense programme, which also marks the 80th anniversary of the world première of Britten’s Second String Quartet at Wigmore Hall. They are joined by French pianist Bertrand Chamayou for Korngold’s dramatic Piano Quintet.
