    Overview

Dame Sarah Connolly has inspired many composers to write works with her expressive artistry in mind. She opens with a new song cycle created for her by John Paul Jones, known to millions as Led Zeppelin’s bassist and keyboard player, and continues with works specially composed for her by Bob Chilcott, David Matthews and Helen Grime. The personal connections extend to Adieu Solace by Judith Bingham, Dame Sarah’s friend since their time as members of the BBC Singers.
