We are sorry to announce that Fleur Barron (mezzo-soprano) has had to withdraw from this concert. We are grateful to Polly Leech (mezzo-soprano), who has agreed to step in following her acclaimed collaboration with La Nuova Musica in Handel’s Giustino.

Composed during his transformative years in Rome, at a point in time when opera was banned by the Pope, Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno (the Triumph of Time and Disillusionment) is Handel’s debut oratorio and a true landmark of the Baroque era. This mythical gem is a tale of love, choice, temptation and fate, and features some of Handel’s most dazzling, virtuosic and emotive music.
