    Overview

London Handel Players presents works that span Bach’s career from his early days in service to the dukes of Saxe-Weimar to later years as Leipzig’s Cantor and director of the city’s Collegium Musicum. The programme moves from sublime chorale cantatas, sung by one voice per part, to the irresistible pairing of the Second Orchestral Suite with Erschallet, ihr Lieder, erklinget, ihr Saiten (‘Resound, you sounds, ring out, you strings!’).
