Overview

Violinist Julia Fischer and three renowned colleagues, violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky, violist Nils Mönkemeyer and cellist Benjamin Nyffenegger, came together in 2010 to form the Julia Fischer Quartet. Their experience as world-class soloists and devoted chamber musicians resounds in interpretations charged with profound insights and overwhelming expressive intensity, qualities ideally suited to the irresistible emotional force of these works by Schubert, Shostakovich and Brahms.
