Programme

Overview

The Berlin-based Leonkoro Quartet, winner of the 2022 Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, shares the stage with the acclaimed Modigliani Quartet in a programme filled with fascinating tonal colours and contrasts. They join forces in Mendelssohn’s uplifting Octet after each quartet has revelled in the Iberian passions of Turina’s ‘The bullfighter’s prayer’ and Schulhoff’s fiery, dance-inspired pieces.
