Featuring two London première commissions for narrator and string quartet – Jennifer Higdon’s tribute to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Gabriela Lena Frank’s portrait of environmental icon Rachel Carson – this stirring programme honours visionaries who shaped our world. The evening culminates with Beethoven’s Op. 130 and the groundbreaking Grosse Fuge, a revolutionary masterpiece that continues to inspire.
