Overview
‘The singing is particularly beautiful or impassioned … in the Stabat Mater … the group's voices gloriously expressive while retaining clarity and immaculate coherence’. So wrote Gramophone of the Belgian vocal ensemble’s first disc, a harbinger of the riches to come. Here it includes rarer repertory by Domenico Mazzocchi (1592-1665) and Alessandro Della Ciaia (c.1605-70).
