Overview

The afternoon concert of our Weinberg Focus Day features a singer described by the Daily Telegraphas ‘a peaches and creamsoprano with a secure coloraturatechnique’. The versatile IlonaDomnich sings Weinberg’s JewishSongs (1944), settings of theSoviet Yiddish poet Shmuel Halkin,in between the Second Sonata forsolo violin (1967) and the FourthSonata for violin and piano (1947).

This concert is part of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust ticket scheme, offering free tickets to those aged 8-25
