Overview

Included in the final programme are Jewish Songs setting texts by IL Peretz (1943), the Third Sonata for violin and piano (1947), dedicated to violinist Mikhail Fikhtengolts, with its Jewish melodic elements and influence of Shostakovich, its equivalent for solo violin (1979), dedicated to the composer’s father, and the Moldavian Rhapsody (1949).
