Overview
The Dutch violinist and her pianist partner present two of Brahms’s three violin sonatas plus his contribution to a composite work (1853) in which his fellow creators were Robert Schumann and the latter’s pupil Albert Dietrich. Clara Schumann, meanwhile, is represented by pieces written the same year which quote a violin sonata by her husband.
