Overview
A programme ranging from a French Baroque master who came to an unfortunate (and mysterious) end through to a late masterpiece (1968) by Shostakovich, with some lesser known-pieces in the virtuoso tradition by late 19th-century composers in the second half, including the Norwegian Sinding’s pastiche suite, published in 1888.
