This evening concert represents a meeting and cross-fertilization of two classical musical traditions – Western and Indian. Amjad Ali Khan, Sinfonia Verdi and Jiaxin Lloyd Webber come together to share their own artistic traditions and find common ground in ragas and medieval modes, vibrato, portamento and gamakas.
