Interval
Piers Lane evokes the world of the Romantic hero. He begins with Schubert’s D major Piano Sonata, a thrilling musical adventure inspired by the Alpine vistas surrounding the Austrian spa resort of Bad Gastein, before exploring Liszt’s stupendous transcription of Harold en Italie.
