Overview

Two like-minded artists bring their eloquent duo partnership to Wigmore Hall. The first performance by the Lepper-Williams Duo in 2023 was inspired by the twentieth anniversary of them being official pianists of BBC Cardiff Singer. It took place before a packed audience of BBC Cardiff Singer aficionados who, having had enjoyed their work with singers over the years, now relished the chance to see them both move centre stage.

They open with György Kurtág’s sublime transcription drawn from Bach’s early funeral cantata before contrasting the melancholy of Schubert’s Fantasie in F minor with the charms of Belle Epoque France and alluring energy of three of Brahms’s characterful Hungarian Dances.
