This concert will be approximately 2 hours in duration, including an interval after the first act
Modo Antiquo, founded in 1984 by Federico Maria Sardelli, appears able to commune with the spirits of the composers in its strikingly wide repertoire, such is the vitality and flair of the period-instrument ensemble’s interpretations. It marks its Wigmore Hall debut with Vivaldi’s captivating two-act Serenata for two soprano and tenor, first performed around 1719.
