French pianist Lucas Debargue, winner of fourth prize and audience hearts at the 2015 Moscow International Tchaikovsky Competition, is known for the striking individuality, artistic daring, profound concentration and exquisite poetic shadings of his music making. A glance at his fast-growing discography reveals an artist at home in a wide variety of repertoire, from the complete piano works of Fauré and sonatas by Scarlatti to majestic compositions by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert and Szymanowski.
