Overview

Dmitry Shishkin, silver medallist at the 2019 Moscow International Piano Competition, belongs to the great Russian piano tradition, courtesy of his studies at the Gnessin Moscow School of Music and the Moscow Conservatory. His pianism rests on a rare feeling for the singing line and an exquisite refinement of touch, capable of producing poetic phrasing of spellbinding eloquence. Shishkin’s programme spans lyrical song, ballet drama and Romantic introspection.
