Overview

Cyrille Dubois and Tristan Raës continue their ongoing exploration of Fauré’s complete songs with a programme that recalls the French composer’s early attraction to Italian lyricism. Their recital touches on the young Debussy’s uneasy relationship with Italy and its modern music through the songs he wrote after winning the Prix de Rome, and Italy’s influence on Liszt and Britten.
