    Overview

Alexander Chance and Stephen Farr step forward to launch the Dunedin Consort’s concert with Bach’s cantata Gott soll allein mein Herze haben, which opens with a flamboyant Sinfonia for organ and strings and continues with a gripping sequence of recitatives and arias for solo countertenor. The programme includes works by Telemann and Graupner, respective first and second choices for the job that was eventually offered to Bach as Cantor in Leipzig.
