    Overview

This second concert moves into more expansive emotional territory – from a movement of a piano trio inspired by the intimate singing style of Bess Cronin to a piece that sets a 10th-century Japanese diary to music (Sarashina Refrain). With works for voice, saxophones, strings and guitar, it’s a programmed shaped by reflection, texture and a sense of time elongated and suspended.
