Programme

Overview

Only a stone heart could resist the beauty of Liya Petrova’s sound and the intensity of her music making. The Paris-based Bulgarian violinist, praised by The Strad for her ‘effortless virtuosity’, returns to Wigmore Hall in company with regular duo partner Adam Laloum. Their recording of Respighi's emotionally-complex, technically-demanding Violin Sonata received a five-star review from BBC Music Magazine and was selected as a Gramophone Editor’s Choice.
