Programme

Overview

Lukas Sternath, born in 2001, received a gilt-edged musical training as a member of the Vienna Boys Choir before embarking on what is fast becoming a stellar career as concert pianist. Having recently completed postgraduate studies with Igor Levit at the highly-regarded Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media, he returns to Wigmore Hall to give his first full recital with a programme comprising Liszt’s sombre and virtuosic Funérailles and Schubert’s profound final Piano Sonata.
