Overview

Two great cycles from Robert Schumann’s miraculous ‘Year of Song’ supply the bedrock of Ian Bostridge’s recital with Piotr Anderszewski, an empathetic partnership launched in Paris at the start of 2025. Their individual artistry and collective insights promise to illuminate the composer’s ecstatic professions of love, which arose following his marriage to Clara Wieck in 1840.
